RLS

RLS, born and raised in North Amsterdam, The Netherlands, got into music from an extremely young age. A member of a very big family — which included twelve aunties and an uncle — RLS grew up with talented elders that influenced his direction into music. The youngest family members would often get together, putting on musical performances at home and for their community.
His mother, and her side of the family, all have backgrounds in singing, whilst his father collected vinyls. Both elements combined to enrich RLS’s experience and appreciation of music, and was the focal point in his decision to pursue music full-time, as a singer-songwriter, and rapper. His time at University was fruitful, being part of a group called YiWuDross. Whilst the group didn’t continue for long after his studies, it was through this experience where he eventually met engineer Rents, and Young Chencs, the producer with credits including Central Cee, D-Block Europe, K-Trap, LD, Yxng Bane, M Huncho, Ghetts and more. This new team proved to be the perfect combination for RLS to launch his solo career.
