Phased Out was a long time coming. Maybe 15 years or so. After playing in bands since I was 15, sometime in the mid-aughts, I just stopped. I guess I lost that loving feeling. My songs felt under-written but overly-rote, and I felt fraudulent. I was done until I had something else to say. That took a while. It took having a family, having a new perspective no longer formed by the angst of a fading adolescence, but the flood of new feelings that comes with being an actual adult, seeing more of the road behind me than in front. I am so grateful to the people who helped me make this record and find my way back to doing something I love. I hope you dig it. - Rob Munk
