For over a decade, STANDER has released deep, hypnotic and melodic dance music. Formerly producing under multiple aliases, he has already achieved commercial success while straddling diverse genres. This was embodied by the yin of the piano-laden, seminal classic ‘Sunlight’ (System Recordings New York), and the yang of the dark and rich bass-heavy tech of ‘Bodyshot’ (La Papillon, 2016).
Inspired by the prog-house journey, navigated by the fabled and timeless mixes of Sasha, Digweed, Warren and Oakenfold, STANDER now infuses melodic, percussive tech/house on his much anticipated upcoming EP release, Illuminate (Sytrac).
