Robert has been writing, performing, and recording original songs since 1972. He has used his music in many ways, including music education and music therapy, as well as music performance. A Board Certified Music Therapist, he retired from Southern Methodist University in Dallas in 2017, where he was Professor and Chair of the Music Therapy Department for 13 years. Robert has also taught at additional universities in the US, as well as New Zealand and Australia. He has been interviewed about his singer-songwriter style and approaches in Grammy, Acoustic Guitar, and Premier Guitar magazines. His songs have been published by MMB Music, Alfred Music, Prelude Music Therapy, and other sources and distributors. His CD’s have been released by Prelude Music Therapy and Full Moon Records. Robert continues to perform as a singer-songwriter and teach in Galveston, Texas. His current emphasis is teaching, writing sons for, and perfuming on ukulele.
