Singer, songwriter, guitarist, Robert John Hanson was born in Liverpool, England, and has spent his life writing and playing music influenced by the Beatles. His compositions also reflect other British musicians including Queen, The Kinks, Bowie andPink Floyd
Currently living in Rhode Island, Hanson has lived in New York and L.A. where he played with Spinal Reflex ad Grandma Tootle. He played and produced for the Kelly Walsh Band and most recently with the prog rock group Coma Toast.
His upcoming album, The Bitter Suite, is an eclectic mix of pop, rock, jazz, and modern classical sounds that is a shift away from his earlier prog rock compositions. Written in the aftermath of a close friend's sudden death and the isolation of the pandemic, The Bitter Suite songs are about love and loss, and the elusive search for a happy ending.
