Panamanian Roberto Blades, brother of multi-talented Latin artist <a href="spotify:artist:5BwMgvRwlq61SmknvsVIQj" data-name="Rubén Blades">Rubén Blades</a>, became seriously involved in music after dropping his plan of joining the U.S. Air Force. In 1981, Miami-based musicians joined him to assemble a tropical orchestra called Inmensidad, topping the charts with &#34;Lágrimas&#34; and &#34;Ya No Regreso Contigo&#34; soon after.

After teaming up with Latin music entrepreneur Emilio Estefan Jr., songwriter and producer Roberto Blades achieved his first Grammy awards for his work alongside <a href="spotify:artist:5IFCkqu9J6xdWeYMk5I889" data-name="Gloria Estefan">Gloria Estefan</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:4wLXwxDeWQ8mtUIRPxGiD6" data-name="Marc Anthony">Marc Anthony</a>, and the first one on his own for Encore, a collection of his greatest hits.
