Roberto Pistolesi is a drummer, bandleader, composer and educator active in the European scene of Contemporary Jazz.
In more than 25 years of activity in music, he has performed/recorded around the world with international artists such as Stefano Di Battista, Francesco Cafiso, Rick Margitza, Dario Deidda, David Liebman, Paolo Fresu, Enrico Rava, Alex Britti and many, many others. His current collaborations include a variety of music settings, with deep roots into Jazz, reaching out to the singer/songwriter's world, passing through electronic music, funk and indie rock.
Roberto leads his own band, continuously developing and writing new music for it, while keeping his activity as a sideman, with musicians like Jasper Blom, Roberto Tarenzi trio, Daniel Juàrez, Ivan Segreto, Zack Lober, Tineke Postma.
In his studio in Den Dolder (NL), Roberto works as a recording artist/producer, and he delivers drum tracks and arrangements for clients and young artists.
