Robin HD is a UK hip-hop artist from Watford, United Kingdom.
Having grown up loving music and singing, Robin’s love of the band <a href="spotify:artist:3AA28KZvwAUcZuOKwyblJQ" data-name="Gorillaz">Gorillaz</a> and the UK Grime genre have influenced him heavily, as he started learning <a href="spotify:artist:4IZLJdhHCqAvT4pjn8TLH5" data-name="Jme">Jme</a> and other rap songs as a kid, before setting up a makeshift recording studio in his school at the age of 15.
At the age of 17, Robin was accepted onto an artist development programme at SAFO Music Group in London, funded by MAS Records. It was here where he met his friend and long-term collaborator <a href="spotify:artist:5o3FKerNd6CVsFu7dm0Qxd" data-name="Tenant">Tenant</a> and recorded his debut EP <a href="spotify:album:41oKBAbQMyJGJojQFrb9dF" data-name="Double Vision">Double Vision</a>.
Afterwards, Robin moved to Nottingham to complete a degree, and has since become integrated in the local underground music scene as an MC & DJ at local student club nights, as well as being pulled onstage at a Spentshell grime set featuring Flowdan, Jammz, Mez & DJ Logan Sama. He has also performed on grime sets in London alongside UK legends JME and Jammer.
His recent album “Colours” is a hip-hop passion project, with features from some of the UK’s top upcoming young talent, such as <a href="spotify:artist:4bnTHHCHsFujaD34vWr4tV" data-name="Feux">Feux</a> & <a href="spotify:artist:17SDeuNM0iPRokn3tPSInb" data-name="rruaris">rruaris</a>. “Colours” examines how emotions and feelings are represented, with each song title referencing a colour that ties into the emotional theme of the song.
