Originating from Southern California, Robot Work began as a solo project and one-man band envisioned by guitarist, programmer, and vocalist Nam Ngo. What started as an individual endeavor quickly transformed into a collaborative effort, expanding the musical possibilities of the project.
In 2024, Robot Work evolved into a three-piece band, welcoming Howie Cruz on bass guitar and Ryan Johnson on drums. They played only 3 shows together before Ryan left, and Cristian Cornejo joined the band on drums. This dynamic lineup brings a diverse range of influences and talents, shaping the distinctive sound of Robot Work. Together, they continue to push the boundaries of their music, combining simple yet intricate guitar work, groovy and innovative bass lines, and compelling drum rhythm and beats.
