Rock B. is a rapper/songwriter who was born and raised on the Southside of Atlanta. He has been writing music since he was 8 years old, but sports and school took the forefront for most of his early life. He went on to play division 1 football at Colgate University, during which he met friend and label mate, Pooney McCord, and the NGNS music movement began. After Colgate, Rock B. went on to obtain his Master’s degree at Florida State University, where he met DJ Vance and teamed up with him for 2 mixtapes while pursuing their degrees. Since then, Rock B. has spent time in Oakland and LA, with music at the forefront of his pursuits.
Although raised on the Southside, Rock B. has lived in many different areas which gives him a unique style with a various blends of sounds and concepts. You can see this with his latest EP release, “RockBGroov’n.” This EP mixes an old funk/groove feel with some more modern pop and hip-hop sounds of late. Rock B. shows that he’s really able to adapt and fit in any lane musically. As he would say, Oh My!
