Roger Wid is well known by his sets revealed as an 80s music revivals adapted to the modern electronic music, combining grooves and funky bass lines which bring the freshness of those Music golden years. His releases follow the same line as his sets with the addition of old-school sounds, breaks with broken rhythms of Hip Hop drums, organic sounds, acoustic instruments, R&B and Reggae vocals... Also synths, drums and melodies close to Techno.
This artistic project appears from the mix between his Hip Hop background and his passion for electronic music. He entered the music world as a Hip Hop singer recording several demos and performing around Catalonia, but his eagerness for music production made him focus his energy in the studio as “beatmaker”. Soon the electronic music appeared in his creations, getting closer to House music, which led to Roger Wid.
