Ro'i Raz is a multi-faceted guitarist/oudist and composer. His playing and writing are influenced by jazz, classical music and eastern and middle-eastern styles. Graduating from NEC, Roi has played with various ensembles of world music and jazz in the Boston area until moving back to Israel in 2005. Since then Roi has formed "kedma Yama", An Ethnic Jazz Ensemble playing his originals, featuring Naor Carmi, Oren Tsor, Arnan Raz and Assaf Zamir/ recording the Ep "To The Desert To The Fields", and playing "Red Sea Jazz Festival" in 2008. Roi also formed Tehilim Ensembe along with ensemble comrades Baruch Branner Yuval Messner Gilad Ephrat and Oren Fried and "The Jazzreals" with fellow musician and singer Daniel De Jung. In 2020 Roi Released a due album with his brother, Saxophonist Arnan Raz, featuring Israeli classics arranged to the due by Roi.
