ROLLÀN is a Congolese artist. He infuses his Congolese heritage with his Western upbringing to create a unique blend of striking lyrics and vibrant melodies in Dutch, French and Lingala within his music.
The artist and his family were relocated to The Netherlands where the arduous task of getting reacquainted with a new environment began. Despite the challenges ahead ROLLÀN knew at an early age that he wanted to tell his story through music.
ROLLÀN has achieved acclaimed successes in the Dutch charts with his hit singles ‘Mbongo’ and ‘Danse avec moi’. His body of work includes collaborations with celebrated artists in the Dutch music scene, such as Hef, Josylvio, F1rstman, Dystinct, Mr Polska, Puri, Kevcody, Hansie, Jozo,Zack Ink and many more.
Where others would continue on this path, the multilingual artist decided to pursue a degree in higher education by enrolling into Art School for a better understanding of the technicalities of being an artist and moreover, the business side of things to be able to fully exploit his talents. For years ROLLÀN balanced his education with his craft and in 2020 he obtained his degree. Armed with this new found knowledge and his unending passion for music ROLLÀN started his own label ‘La Sape UNIVERS’ from where he is currently independently releasing all his music.
