Ron Rogers’ songs are a mixture of Americana roots, rock ‘n roll, and 1960s psychedelia. “Some of the best Americana story-telling music that represents the hard life, injustice, the dark side and tough living...” Jim Hart, Portland, Oregon Tribune. Ron has had several successful live bands, was the songwriter for the pop/rock band, Private Lives, penned their hit, When the World Comes Crashing Through which charted as the #9 Song of the Year on Austin’s Top 40 radio station. Billboard Magazine awarded the group Best New Band of the Week as well as Best New Album of the Week. The Austin Chronicle voted the radio hit Best Song of 1982. From there, Ron signed a deal as a staff writer for Island Records/Blue Mountain Music. In 1987, Ron toured the then Soviet Union performing in Moscow, Kiev, and Leningrad (St. Petersburg). Then Ron headed to Los Angeles where he released his first solo album, La La Land. Renowned screenwriter/producer Joe Eszterhas (Flashdance, Jagged Edge, Basic Instinct) picked Ron’s song, "La La Land," as the main titles theme for the film, "An Alan Smithee Film: Burn, Hollywood, Burn." After relocating to Portland, Oregon in 2004, Ron released his third album, Country & Eastern, along with a video of his song Alabama Chrome. In 2019, Ron’s fourth album, "World Gone Wild" was released.
