Playing basketball since the age of 5, Pennsauken, NJ native Ron Curry was a star guard at Paul VI High School, and after playing for James Madison in college, Curry went on to join overseas team, KRKA, in 2016.
Originally influenced by his older sister, Letitia Curry, Ron knew at an early age he loved basketball, with Jason Kid being one of his favorite players. Growing up in South Jersey, Ron became dedicated to his craft, and quickly learned “the more you put into your craft, the more you get out of it.”
After a championship year with Hungary’s Falco KC team, Ron returned to help lead Falco to another Championship season after starting the season with five-time Latvian Basketball League champions, VEF Rīga. Aside from Basketball, Ron is also preparing to show the world his many other talents. Creating music over the last four years, Ron has been quietly developing his second passion, and applying his basketball mindset to his recording process.
Balancing melody with substance, Ron hopes to give listeners a healthy balance with his music. Ron would listen to Lil Wayne and Meek Mill when he would get ready for games, and always appreciated the freedom of speech and creativity that music allows. One of the more exemplary musician-athletes in recent times, Ron intends to show doubters that he is more than a basketball player and further break the status-quo.
