Ronnie is a Malaysian singer-songwriter and performer, born and raised in Sandakan, Sabah who grew up in a musical household with an appreciation for performance. His mother discovered his talent at the age of 3, catching him singing along to the radio with ease and passion. He was exposed to early 90's R&B & Pop by the likes of <a href="spotify:artist:4iHNK0tOyZPYnBU7nGAgpQ" data-name="Mariah Carey">Mariah Carey</a>,<a href="spotify:artist:23zg3TcAtWQy7J6upgbUnj" data-name="Usher">Usher</a>,<a href="spotify:artist:0urTpYCsixqZwgNTkPJOJ4" data-name="Aaliyah">Aaliyah</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:31TPClRtHm23RisEBtV3X7" data-name="Justin Timberlake">Justin Timberlake</a>, who are amongst his biggest influences. A former high school choir boy, who’d participate in concerts in his college years while gaining experience from venue live performances and musical theatre. A film graduate that dabbles in acting with a filmmaking aspiration and a member of a competitive dance team Covenant Dance Crew.
In 2018, He was crowned the champion of #flydol2018, a radio singing competition on Fly FM, a malaysian english radio station. He appears in Asia Got Talent 3 in 2019, the Judges Round auditions, where he scores three resounding Yes votes from a judging panel that consists of superstar <a href="spotify:artist:4XDi67ZENZcbfKnvMnTYsI" data-name="Jay Park">Jay Park</a>, icon <a href="spotify:artist:3ahVFszO9ucf8JQLCNQeYA" data-name="Anggun">Anggun</a> and the legendary <a href="spotify:artist:0SgQK24WzZf2pXBXYqHJYF" data-name="David Foster">David Foster</a>.In 2020, Ronnie wins the coveted 'Audience Choice Award' at Short & Sweet Festival Song Competition, his first achievement as a songwriter with 'All Nighter', a deeply personal, self penned track, currently awaiting release. His ultimate goal is, as inspired by one his idols Aaliyah, is to be the ultimate entertainer, someone who can conquer the stage and do it all and as of now, the journey continues.
