Ronny Aagren

Ronny Aagren comes from Jessheim, Norway. Ronny began his music career in the early 80s, and has toured nationally and abroad in various bands for 30 years, and decided to go solo in 2016.

It all started at home in the living room, where his mother often sang and played guitar for her son who was fascinated by how his mother moved her fingers over the strings of the guitar. Ronny bought his first guitars at the age of 14, including a black Ibanez Les Paul, which he still plays slide on to this day.

Inspired by the early Delta blues artists such as Robert Johnson, Blind Willie Johnson, as well as BB King, Howlin' Wolf, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, Ry Cooder and many more, he has over the years created his own distinct expression in his guitar playing.
He is primarily known for being an outstanding slide guitarist and is considered by many today to be one of the country's foremost blues guitarists.

Ronny Aagren is both a songwriter and composer. Most of the material he writes about is taken from his own life and experiences, which gives the audience a feeling of genuine communication, closeness and joy of playing.

His music has received great attention and airtime on radio at home and abroad, and a number of good reviews in Norway, the USA, Australia, England, France, Spain, Holland, Belgium and Germany.
