Ronove Orobas is a singer/songwriter originating from South East London. Orobas has been behind a plethora of projects within the last decade, the most prevalent being both Xero Styx and Ache Tape.
He has always had a fascination with music, frequently enjoying music from a range of different genres but the one that resonated with him the most was the metal genre (and all of it's subgenres). Orobas would begin by creating covers for practice, and then eventually moving between projects: the first being Utopia (a band created with friends that leaned more into psychedelic rock), Systematic Psychosis (his first solo project), Accurse, Xero Styx and then Ache Tape. Orobas found that he felt comfortable with the Industrial sub-genre due to its experimental nature which (in his words) gave him more creative freedom when it came to the sound and feel of the music, always being inspired by such Icons such as: Godflesh, Nine Inch Nails, Till Lindemann, and many more.
After working with Damien Serpentine on the Ache Tape project for a year the duo would speak about where they wanted to go next with the project, ultimately due to creative differences they split but Orobas had the idea to rework the project into an indie record label which would allow them to publish, promote and platform their solo projects to their small but already established audience. So while Ache Tape isn't exactly what it used to be, the name still lives on.
