Sophie "Roo" Wonfor was born and raised in Mohnkinstiss (Calgary), started playing music in front of people in Tiohtia:ke (Montreal) and is now happily based in Mi'kma'ki (Nova Scotia). Writing what she cheekily describes as “emo-bard” music, Roo joined the Vain Mina Records family to release Blooming, Glooming (Part I) & (Part II). That title is drawn from a line in the first single: "while the trees were blooming, I was busy glooming," which gives a nod to Roo's penchant for delivering an emotional deep-cut with a quip.
