ROOT SOUL's first new album in 10 years is an emotional and organic hybrid of funk, soul, disco, boogie, jazz, rock, and afro.
US vocalist Erik Rico is featured on two tracks and UK vocalist Andrea Clarke, who was featured on the first album, returns. The album is 21st-century funky music with a heavy groove designed for live performances featuring uplifting horn arrangements, futuristic synthesizers and boogie-slappy bass lines throughout.
The musicians include Takeshi Kurihara, a member of Kyoto Jazz Sextet and known for supporting Soil & "Pimp" Sessions, Hideraw Nishioka of Central, Kaztake Takeuchi of A Hundred Birds, Soki Kimura of Osaka-Monorail and more. The artwork is by Tokio Aoyama who is constantly in demand from all over the world. The power of “Freaky Power” will inspire all mankind!
