Rooted

With multiple artistic backgrounds, Rooted combines Southern Gothic, alt-folk, Americana, pop, rock, folk, and country (the good kind) together to create a signature sound born in the NC foothills.

Fiddle-player and vocalist Sarah Seymour joined up with brothers Drew and Seath Gray (guitar/resonator and mandolin, respectively) to make acoustic music as a creative outlet. Soon after, percussionist Morgan Smith arrived to give the acoustic arsenal what most roots bands don't have...a dedicated rhythm section via cajon. Jimmy Atkins, a tour veteran soon rounded out the band with his own acoustic guitar stylings and songwriting.

With a crowd-funded eponymous EP release under their belts, Rooted shares their vast range of musical skill and genre-hopping prowess, utilizing traditional American bluegrass, acoustic folk ballads, and uplifting rock, all on instruments made of the woods.
