Originally from northern California, Roots has become masterful in his delivery of raw, thought inducing material that is liable to force you to see things in a different way. He will take you to a different place with his songs, maybe even convince you to look at life differently. Growing up in the central valley, He gained an interesting edge simply existing in a unique environment that forced him to depend on himself. He began seriously pursuing music as a teenager and has not let up since.


Using heavily dug for samples mixed with original composition to accent things, it's evident that he knows how to make something his own. Focused entirely on the quality of his product and carrying inspiration from numerous greats in rap before him, he is able to provide a cohesive experience that exudes confidence and boldness that most cannot imitate or come close to. His message is grounded and unfiltered, paired with smooth luxurious cuts that leave plenty room for what he has to say. Most of his catalog is self produced, with sporadic collaborations with valued peers. His newest album, “King’s Rest” was released on 5/27/24 and produced in Atlanta, GA.
