Hailing from London, producer and arranger Rory J Brown was raised in a home immersed in music, art and fashion; referencing influences from artists like Kaytranda, Moonchild, Erykah Badu, Robert Glasper, SBTRKT and The Internet.


After studying at the London College of Music, Rory relocated to Brighton to connect with the bubbling Nu-Soul scene. Endeavouring to challenge the status Quo of the electronic music spectrum by fusing it with elements of Jazz and Neo-Soul music. The rhythmic and structural elements of his music take influence from contemporary R&B, blending it with the compositional qualities of Nu-Soul and Jazz fusion. This creates a unique, dreamlike soundscape for his collaborators too, rousing intimate and romantic lyricism from them. With 'The Word is Bond' describing his music as "lush" and "enthralling" yet "heart-warming" and the support of some of the best up and coming singers, Rory J Brown is set to pave a unique name for himself.
