Rory No-Mates

Rory No-Mates is an alias of West London-born multi-instrumentalist & producer Adibanti, who makes mostly vocal House, Garage & other more popular styles of Electronic Music.


Rory No-Mates started when he realised his heart was deeply intertwined in the soul of instrumental House & Techno. After immersing himself in these two genres, he has started to discover his own sound in the disciplines.


Using a combination of sampling and playing the piano, synths and the other array of instruments under his belt, he attempts to create a somewhat organic blend of this loose and human world of the live musician and the harsh and tough energy of the old-skool, rigid aesthetic of rough & ready House & Techno.


Inspired by the likes of Mr Scruff, Dauwd, Rodriguez Jr, Dexter Kane, DVS1, Pedestrian & Todd Terje, he has an ear for the rolling, almost psychedelic, sound FX & sample choices and percussive evolving beats. He uses his a careful mixture of analog and digital synthesisers & drum machines to achieve this blended world.


The name Rory No-Mates was given to him after wandering around various festivals on his own in a search to find truly good music and the best vibes & DJs to learn from. The name ended up sticking and accompanied the feeling of this hyper personal project to Rory and, as a result of this, No-Mates was born.
