Preston based 'Rosa' are a group heavily inspired by The Beatles. Formed in 2017, good friends Matt Hall (Vocals) and James Noel (Guitar) began writing a variety of songs inspired by their idles. Rosa bring a modern take on 60's and 70’s inspired music to their local scene with melodic ballads and sing-along pop songs.
‘Belladonna EP’ shows the pair taking it back-to-basics with 4 self-recorded and self-mixed songs.
“The E:P contains these soft and velvety vocals which help you envision a lonely Sunday evening under your blanket with a single candle flickering in the distance.”-Musik Magazine
2020. With an all-new four-piece line up, the group’s latest release ‘Paradise’ shows the group experimenting with genres, instrumentation and musical ideas. From the synth bass to the psychedelic influenced guitars, ‘Paradise’ is the perfect summer anthem.
“'Paradise' takes on a much more sultry sound than most of Rosa's other songs, and is very focused on lead singer Matt's vocals in the beginning, allowing for the music to build around them as the song progresses, and it really allows for focus on the actual lyrics of the song rather than the music around them, something that seems to be a dying art within music nowadays.” - Northern Groove Blog
