Hi! My name is Ross Lindsay (known as Rosco), I am 17 years of age and I am a singer/producer in the heart of Cape Town, South Africa. Let me give you a bit of background. At the age of 6 I started playing guitar. I never really enjoyed it in the beginning but when I was 12 years old I had an amazing guitar teacher and he made me fall in love with guitar. The following year my dad bought me a DJ controller and that is when I really fell in love with music. I started a small DJ business and wow it really took off. I was busy every weekend just doing small gigs for kid’s parties, teenage discos, weddings and other small functions and I was really enjoying it. From this I decided I want to learn how to produce my own music, so in 2018 I told my parents about my studio idea and we started planning. They said they’ll pay for the build of the studio but I have to pay for all the equipment that is needed in the studio by using my DJ money that I saved up over the years. Once the studio was complete I started teaching myself how to produce music on a software called Logic Pro X. After 2 years of growing my knowledge and skills in music production I released my first single. When I matriculate from school I hope to go study music production so I can better my skills and knowledge. I can’t wait for what the future holds!
