Roscoe, known by his stage name as Roscoe G., is an American rapper, record producer and songwriter. Roscoe was born and raised in the small town of Alliance, Ohio where he spent much of his formative years living in a affordable neighborhood. Roscoe developed an interest in storytelling and aspired by such acts as DJ Jazzy Jeff, The fresh prince, Dr. Dre,The Notorious B.I.G, Tupac Shakur, Rakim, Master P, Naughty by Nature, Kurupt, Eminem, Ice Cube, Nas, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, LL Cool J, and many more. Roscoe moved to California in 2006 hoping to get his first deal in the music business and learned first hand at the world of Hollywood- "you had to work on it like your life depended on it". Well known studios are many, but just in rap fashion-- there's movement in every room you step in, there's life in every rapper you meet, & there's style in every kind of hip hop act you intend to try. In 2010 Roscoe found Father MC now known as FAM Body. Nothing came of the opportunity but a learning experience. Roscoe quotes: "I ran with it. He showed me how to make songs and really rap so I take my hat off to him. I spent hours and days watching artists prepare for making music." Soon after things didn't work out with Fam Body, Roscoe began being even more dedicated to just making music. He says, "There are no shortage of ways to discover new music, styles and sounds."
