Rosemary's Sons was founded in 1998 by a group of childhood friends. In 2002 the band released the album ‘All-in hand’ (Warner Music). From this album, produced by Oscar Holleman (Within Temptation, Krezip) and-with guest appearance of Ilse de Lange, 3 singles were released: ‘Fall from grace’ (poprock), ‘Shine’ (rock) and the pianoballad ‘Up all night’. The band is the support act for, amongs others, Bon Jovi, Bryan Adams, Bush, The Cranberries and Bløf.
In 2005 the band releases the 2nd album, again produced by Oscar Holleman: 'St. Eleanor's Park' on which rootsy American road songs are interspersed with compact rockers. In 2009 The Sons release the album ‘Home Sweet Home’ with producer Patrick van Hofwegen and Werner Pensaert (K’s Choice, Soulsister). American roots rock is here again the basis of the album. In 2010 the band decided to take a break to pursue other goals in life. Maarten van Damme joins Racoon and Thomas Lina pursues a solo career.
In 2023 the 3 members of the very beginning of the band Ad van Halteren, Bart Herber and Martijn Hagens release a 4th , American rock oriented album: 'Take the day, own the night', produced by Joost van den Broek, known for his international acclaimed work, It's a very well received album with good reviews and with 'Come as the rain' as the main single. In the course of 2025 a fifth album will be released with Joris Kuijs (guitars) and Julien Verveer (base) who joined the band after Ad's departure.
