Roses Kings Castles

Best known as the drummer for <a href="spotify:artist:0IBAqjHG8DSaD7PPCGnGiZ">Babyshambles</a> since 2005, Adam Ficek is also the singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist behind Roses Kings Castles' folky, lo-fi indie pop. Along with his <a href="spotify:artist:0IBAqjHG8DSaD7PPCGnGiZ">Babyshambles</a> duties, Ficek also plays drums and sings with the electro-tinged <a href="spotify:artist:2y0Ilw0qK2PkHaEFBpcuZX">Mains Ignition</a> collective. A former drum teacher, Ficek conceived of Roses Kings Castles in 2007 as a working holiday from <a href="spotify:artist:0IBAqjHG8DSaD7PPCGnGiZ">Babyshambles</a>, and played and recorded all of the instruments in his music himself. Roses Kings Castles' first single, Sparkling Bootz, arrived in spring 2008, while Entroubled was released just a few weeks before the album Roses Kings Castles appeared that fall. A third single, Horses, was released that December.
