He has presented pathbreaking research at international academic conferences by bringing together disparate fields in novel and original combinations informed by his own musical practices. His compositions feature a signature style of pianistic writing that draws on various genres and historical periods, from Bach to Glass. Finally, his performances of great classical works are informed by both historical context and his own original interpretations of how he would write the piece.
