Rostro del Sol was founded in 2018 in Mexico City by guitarist Mitch Bálänt. The band's sound is characterized by a hybrid of Blues, Heavy psych, Jazz, and Progressive Rock. Their primary goal is to one day use their music to help humanity.
Since 2019 they began recording their self-titled debut album, which wouldn't see the light until two years later, with its release date on January 29, 2021. In 2022, they released their second and third singles titled "Blue Storm" and "Kinich Ahau," and in 2023, the EP "Blue Storm" was released under the record label Stolen Body Records from England.
