Roy Stride

Hello.

Thanks for passing by and checking out my songs. My name is Roy Stride and I’m the singer and songwriter for indie band <a href="spotify:artist:2wpJOPmf1TIOzrB9mzHifd" data-name="Scouting For Girls">Scouting For Girls</a>. Since 2007 the three of us sold over 3 million records and toured the world. As a songwriter and producer I&#39;ve also been lucky enough to work with some incredible artists and the songs I&#39;ve written have now been streamed over a billion times.

Now I&#39;m starting again.

When the world shutdown in 2020 I had the studio to myself for the first time in a decade. I started by re-working some of the songs I loved as a kid, exploring a more chilled, electro-acoustic folky production. When the world turned upside down, it made me feel good to go back in time and calm things down.

One day I might put out an album of original songs. Who knows? Maybe not. But I have promised myself that I will release a new cover every month for the foreseeable future so please follow me here on Spotify if you like what you hear. I would really appreciate that. It&#39;s been both exceptionally rewarding and ridiculously hard work to start over again. So thank you for being here at the start of something new. Sometimes the end is just the beginning...
