With a background in acoustic instruments, Roya has been releasing a steady stream of electronic music albums over the past decade, seamlessly gliding through subgenres in electronic pop and electroacoustic music. Originally from Olympia, Washington, she now resides in Stockholm, Sweden.

Roya has garnered high acclaim for her music including the Swedish Independent Music award (Manifestgalan, Årets Synth), selection at Calgary's Sled Island Festival, and as opening act for Ladytron. She continues to push her sound further with each release and is currently enrolled at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm where her focus is on electroacoustic composition and pipe organ.
