Ruaidhri Mannion is an Irish composer, sonic artist and multi-instrumentalist based in London. He is completing a PhD in Composition at the renowned Royal College of Music. Before moving to London he was active in the Irish alternative music scene, playing violin for the folk-rock outfit Catoan. He releases experimental pop-electronica EPs under the alias ‘i aM rhino and Ruin’.

His work as a contemporary classical and electronic composer has earned him commissions from the Nouvel Ensemble Contemporain in Switzerland to create 'Mise en Abyme’, an immersive multimedia creation co-authored with the composer, Benoit Moreau, that premiered in May 2017. He also has commissions from the Whitecube Gallery, London to compose music for the ‘Tribunal of the Dusk’ installation; a saxophone sextet commission for the Royal Academy of Art's 'Sensing Spaces: Architecture Reimagined' exhibition; and an interactive electroacoustic performance at the Tate Modern's critically acclaimed 'Matisse: The Cut-Outs' exhibition.

Performed extensively in the UK, Ireland and mainland Europe, his music has been played by renowned soloists and ensembles at venues such as the Tate Modern, Whitechapel Gallery, Kings Place, Cadogan Hall, National Portrait Gallery, Café OTO and the Sonic Arts Research Centre.
