Ruari Brownell

Ruari Brownell’s sound can’t be contained to one genre. His songwriting and instrumentals combine red dirt, blues, rock, and R&B, setting the stage for his powerhouse vocals that reach out and grab the audience, making him new fans whenever he plays. Growing up in small town Iowa, he listened to country music and began singing and playing instruments at a young age. His country music career started in 2024 at an open mic in an Iowa City, IA restaurant called The Vine. Since then, his career has quickly grown. In May of 2025, he released his debut single “Watching You Move On” which gave him in 11,000 monthly listeners off the bat. His next three singles “We Just Got Here,” “Memories of My Life,” and “Terrified of Loosing You” were released in summer of 2025. Shortly after, Ruari performed for over 2,500 people opening up for Craig Morgan in Grinnell, IA. His new EP “Pretty Little Thing” is set to release in November 2025.
