RUBBISH is rock band from Münster, Germany, which stands for a heavy and melodic rock sound with a dark atmosphere fusing a template born of wave, metal, punk und psychedelic influences.
Püttmann (vox, bass) provides the central thread with his sonorous, full voice, falling short of the classical hard rock cliche and leading through the musical world of Rubbish. König-Maatje (drums) and Schnabel (guitar) form the basis with their classical hard rock grooves and heavy riffs. On stage the band likes to present itself raw and plain.
Their first LP, A KIND OF ART (2003), brought a lot of positive feedback form home and abroad. International online sales (to Canada, to the west and Australia on the other side of the planetary) and countless concerts, even leading them as the support act of the hardrock legend Dokken, showed the band of being on the right way.
After a successful battle with personal demons and signing with label 7MUSIC/7HARD Rubbish returned stronger and more focused than ever and released DEAR JOHN in 2017: a very impressive, uniquely dark masterpiece.
With their 3rd album SOME TIMES (2020) Rubbish are one of the most promising rock rising stars of the year featuring more guitar riffs, even more compact, melodically dark rock and an incomparable cover version of Visage 80s hit »Fade To Grey«.
The song Only Care For Yourself (2021) is their latest release - reckoning with ignorance and egoism; but also a sunny look into the future!
