Rudolph Francis was born in Western Kingston Jamaica. At the age of 7, his mother relocated to St. Mary to live closer to her extended family. Rudolph Francis had musical inspiration from an early age after listening to great musicians like Sam Cooke, Fats Domino and the duet Shirley & Lee. At the age of 15 back in Kingston, he wanted to go to the Prince Buster recording studio but his mother denied his request. Throughout the years Rudolph Francis maintained his love for singing and at the age of 23 he got his first record break with George Fullwood at the Chanel One recording studio. From there, he worked with various producers including Joe Gibbs and Stafford Douglas of Birmingham, England. He formed the group "Symbols" with his brother as his backing vocals which lead to him recording and writing a tremendous amount of songs including hits like Motherless Children, Mr Oppresor & etc. He is the rightful and legitimate writer of the Dennis Brown hit Blood, Sweat And Tears but was never acknowledged as such. As a writer and singer, Rudolph Francis was never given the acknowledgment nor was he compensated for all his hardwork and effort. He is a prolific and profound artist that is truly great. Now years later, Rudolph Francis decided to independently re-release his iconic music that you know and love with more new music projects on the way.
