Rudy Kalma

Hi ~

My name is Rudy Kalma, and I like to create music. I started in the Fall SZN of 2011, it's 2022 now so it's been 11 years (do double digits count as angel numbers?). Anyways, I've been privileged with the inner knowing and early discovery that creating through writing and music is an integral part of my Life Path. I'm a human being before anything else, and I'm starting to realize that more and more. I think being an artist is a catalyst for unlocking my own personal growth and potential, but it's not responsible for the totality of my life's purpose. In the meantime, I'm still creating and seeking - world building with soundscapes - scribing and etching my existence.

A lot of folx ask me to describe my music/genre/style, and I haven't put my finger on it yet... sometimes I say I make Pop music, Experimental, Alternative. It's all rooted in Hip-Hop. I used to walk from Balboa Bart Station to high school listening to Pac, Wu-Tang, Nas, Big L, Too $hort, Snoop Dogg, Outkast - the list goes on. To my core, I am an MC - a rapper. Presently, I hope to continue genre-bending, taking inspiration from the sounds of today and yesterday. I hope I'm organically molding the sound of the future.
