Rug began as a group of strangers at Robert Lang Studios Academy in Seattle with one common goal: just make good music. Annie Larkin’s intimate lyrics and powerful vocals instantly seemed like the perfect pairing for Jordan Smith’s (keyboard/vocals) producing prowess. While jamming with guitarist Nick Accardi, fully-realized songs were organically formed. They quickly recognized the potential of these songs, and sought to make a proper band. Soon after, close-friends Andrew Lihudis (bass) and Coleman Ayers (Drums) joined their ranks.
Now they are five musicians blurring the lines of pop and rock music with hints of R&B. Releasing their debut EP, This Side of The Glass, Rug is hoping to bring a new energy to the post-pandemic Seattle music scene.
