RUN was formed in 1996 in the West Island of Montreal under the name Bitter Fly, and independently released the album "Be Your Friends" in 1999 (not yet available for distribution).
Bitter Fly relocated to Los Angeles in 2000, changed their name to The Itis, frequently played venues in Hollywood, Las Vegas, and San Diego, while writing and demoing material for their second album.
In 2005, with a self-produced album in the bag, The Itis signed with an indie label with distribution through Sony/BMG, changed their name to RUN and released the album "The Itis". RUN was well received on radio and on tour, but before any real momentum could build the band split due to irreconcilable differences, performances ceased, and all promotion of the band and album stopped as well.
While the founding members couldn't agree on anything then, they feel this music should be available, representing it's place in time, the final effort from a decade of chemistry, comradery and hard work.
Enjoy some modern rock from the 2000's you've most likely never heard before and let it live on in your playlists.
