Rune Villads (born 1984) is a country music singer-songwriter living i
n Langå, Denmark.
At age 36, Villads released his debut album, Rune Villads Band, in June 2020.
The album introduced him as a distinctly dark and original voice in the danish Country and Americana scene.
Critics compare Rune to Johnny Cash, John Hiatt and most often Tom Petty.
Some critics even call him Tom Petty's unknown nephew.
Villads is currently working on his next album with life-long friend and bass player, Rasmus Boje and multi-instrumentalist, Jens Varmløse.
He already released two singles from the album,
'Love Me in the Morning' & 'Brighter Days'.
