Rúni has been playing music since 1988.
In 1990 he and his friends started a band called “Section” together. They started making music and released a casette tape in 1991 (Í lagi).
In 1992 Rúni moved to NyKøbing Falster - Denmark, where he in 1993 attended in a song contest (Se og Hør Grandprix). Rúni won the grandprix with his song called “You were so lovely”. One of the rewards was a single recording, which he released later the same year, called “World of Dreams”.
In 1999 Rúni moved back to his home country, The Faroe Islands.
After that he mostly played live, both solo and with other musicians/bands.
Rúni never stopped writing and has been preparing music all the time.
So in 2016, and to this day, he began to
release singles with his own songs.
