RUNNING FROM SHADOWS is a Hard Rock/Metal band from Louisiana. Their upcoming album, Negative Nancy, is for anyone who feels like no one gives a shit—especially those who are tired of life. It’s about hanging on when everything sucks.

The album was recorded DIY, with no budget, in a trailer park in Columbia, Louisiana. At first, Darren White (singer/guitarist) tried using a drum machine, but it just didn’t feel right. So he put the album on hold for almost a year, hunting for a drummer who could make it feel more human. That drummer ended up being Ty Del Rose from Smile Empty Soul, who recorded his parts in his home studio between tours. The album stayed messy, raw, and real—the way it was supposed to be.

The sound mixes hard rock, metal, indie, grunge, and punk.
