Hailing from Mesa, Arizona, Running Sticks is your weird friend's favorite alt rock band. After becoming disillusioned from his monotonous desk job, singer/songwriter Noah Hancock formed the solo project Running Sticks to subtly rebel against the surpisingly asocial system he found himself in. Featuring deceptively simple alt rock songs with a passionate edge, Running Sticks blends serious subject matters such as loneliness, mental health, and mortality into witty lyrics, memorable choruses, and playful vocal melodies. Running Sticks pulls from a variety of musical genres such as folk punk, alt rock, lo-fi, and even musical theater to make their sound come to life.
