RUNXGUN

Heavy G and BIG J.O. are two seasoned Mississauga emcees from an era where bars and lyrical skill were still a main focal point of rap music. Before teaming up, the two emcees spent years making individual efforts to establish themselves in the industry. Both were often told by peers that they were moving in the wrong direction or going about things the wrong way when it came to their artistry. Out of frustration, they came together with the intention of completing and releasing a project the way THEY saw fit, not allowing any outsiders to throw them off track. The Contra EP was born and went on to garner more organic attention than either of them have ever experienced previously.

Following the release of Contra, the two barsmiths continued to create at a rapid pace and in turn completed a follow up project in an extremely timely fashion. The chemistry between the two emcees can be highly credited to the spirit of competition - not wanting to be out-rapped by each other - but more importantly they’ve both made the decision to keep running, no matter what. Never allowing anything to slow them down and staying ready to destroy any obstacle standing in their way. Those aspects, in addition to the pace of which they are able to create, justifies a moniker such as (The Indestructible) RUNXGUN.
