Rushdown is a record label and collective established in 2016 and run by Chime offering a place for aspiring melodic producers to release their music and get their first step on the ladder to becoming a successful artist in the dubstep scene.
The label is home to “Colour Bass” - a sub-genre of dubstep coined by Chime that focuses on melody, emotion and vibrancy. The sub-genre sits equidistant between supersaw-punctuated melodic dubstep and more aggressive, impact-focused dubstep - creating a world that takes the best from both sides.
More recently the label has become an important part of the emergence of “Melodic Riddim” sparking from Ace Aura’s releases starting in 2018 - his influence then spreading through the label’s roster to create a new wave of producers combining harmonisation and tonality with the hypnotising flow of Riddim.
