Russh Reddy

My real name is Russell Redekopp pretty much born and raised in Calgary, AB though I spent a few years in Pickering, ON during high school. That entire time all I listened to was hip hop, and really wish I would have started back then but I didn't start writing until around 2011. It was influenced heavily by my cousin who goes by Smitty. He was writing rhymes and freestyling with his buddies back in Pickering and I started thinking Im going to try and write some lyrics for him. But sure enough when I finished writing I didn't want to give it away lol So I recorded my voice on an old iriver mp3 player and started showing people. The comments were motivating and needles to say my cousin and I ended up recording that track ( Horribly) lol and soon afterwards formed RusshNSmitty. We have about 30 tracks on YouTube as well as our first mixtape we did way back when that is available on Soundcloud. We are both now part of crew that goes by The Get Big Fam which has members across the globe. We make real Hip Hop ! There is no pretending. We live the lives that we speak about . My goal is to perhaps pull that one individual (Hopefully Many) out of that dark place we all know. This is the first of many on this new platform and I can't wait to share it with you all.
