Russudan Meipariani is a georgian composer, pianist and singer. She studied classical piano at the music academie Tbilisi and composition with Wolfgang Rihm in Karlsruhe, Germany.
Her music combines classical, minimal music, georgian polyphonie, contemporary new music, jazz and works with elements of pop culture. The soundscape that Russudan's music creates is academic and archaic, contemplative and extrovert, dreamy and wild, strange and familiar at the same time.
Russudan won composition-contests, released albums, her music has been performed by international musicians and ensembles in Europa, Georgia, Armenia, Australia. Russudan herself playes in different ensembless and works as a tutor at the music academy Stuttgart.
