<a href="spotify:artist:29ztfXlV4reXsoMWQLfBpI" data-name="Rustic Beats">Rustic Beats</a> is a side project of a Seattle musician who primarily goes by the artist name <a href="spotify:artist:6WKERvE3l2iklzOSZxtLsf" data-name="Us3r">Us3r</a>, but also releases music under aliases <a href="spotify:artist:44PiKi4ReFNX7l2L8sqze5" data-name="Wolf Pet">Wolf Pet</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:1sCkhr7yvnjwuytiRrcM5M" data-name="MANAKIN">MANAKIN</a>, and <a href="spotify:artist:2miZg0PiMcV1Kjb9SjUMUB" data-name="Saint Moss">Saint Moss</a>. Growing up in a family of musicians, he was constantly surrounded by music and deeply integrated into the live music scene.
As an avid listener and player of music, his exploration of multiple genres has led to a lot of cross pollination of ideas over the years. Around 2017, he started exploring the creation of EDM music using samples of renaissance instruments. After releasing the first two tracks like this, the exploration shifted in another direction.
The next exploration was around whether he could transcribe old classical music and reframe them in other genres while still maintaining the integrity and familiarity of the original source material,. It was this exploration that led to the first release, Slaytoven Volume 1.
Other explorations include synthwave, trance, hiphop, modular synthesis, and vocal sampling. While doing these explorations, music of these ideas have leaked into the other musical projects.
