Ruth Blake sings honest songs that feel like medicine; soulful stories of heartbreak and resolve, chaos and courage, decay into summer and hope and beyond.
With a warm and authentic stage presence she accompanies her captivating voice with a mix of guitar and piano. Also a counsellor, Ruth has devoted her life to deep self-enquiry and healing. She aims to inspire connection, community, and hope by diving into - instead of shying away from - the the hard, messy truths of her human experience.
As well as being featured on BBC Introducing, Blake has played dozens of festivals accross the UK, recorded at Real World Studios and collaborates with Manchester-based Caulbearers and the Music as Medicine collective. Based in Somerset, she’s currently working on a new EP with producer, Damien Mahoney.
